9am is a social photography app where photos you take develop until 9am the following day. You can share photos with friends, browse a feed of their shots, and build a profile. These terms govern your use of 9am. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old and provide accurate information including a unique username. Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for all activity on your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us right away.
When you take a photo in 9am, it appears blurred and "developing" until 9am the following day, when it becomes fully visible to you and your friends. After a photo's active period ends, it becomes expired. Free users see expired photos as blurred. Pro subscribers can view expired photos for up to 7 additional days. All photo data is permanently deleted from our servers 8 days after the photo was taken. You can delete any of your own posts at any time.
You keep ownership of the photos and content you post on 9am. By posting, you grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and deliver that content within the app — including showing it to your friends and in their feeds — for as long as we retain it under our deletion policy. You represent that you have the right to post your content and that it does not violate anyone else's rights or these terms.
Do not post illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content. Do not post content that infringes on someone else's rights. Do not impersonate others, harass or threaten users, attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems, use bots or scrapers, or interfere with the app's operation. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
9am Pro is an optional $4.99/month subscription that unlocks viewing expired photos for up to 7 days, instant save to camera roll, and additional camera profiles. Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system — payment, billing, and refunds are handled entirely by Apple. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Photos are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers 8 days after they are taken. This applies to all users, including Pro subscribers. We do not keep copies of deleted photos. Profile information and account data remain until you delete your account.
You may stop using 9am and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we need to protect the app, our users, or ourselves. We will try to give notice when possible but are not required to in every case.
9am is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Photos may be lost under our retention policy or if you delete them — we are not responsible for content you choose to remove or that expires under our rules.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 9am and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version here and update the effective date. If changes are significant, we may notify you through the app. Continued use of 9am after changes means you accept the updated terms.
