9am is a social photography app where photos you take develop until 9am the following day. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We built 9am as a small indie project — no ads, no data selling, no third-party tracking.
When you create an account and use 9am, we collect your email address for sign-in, your username and display name, bio and profile picture, the photos you take and share, and your friend connections within the app. The app also requests access to your camera and photo library so you can take and save photos. With your permission, we send push notifications about friend activity.
We use your information to create and manage your account, display your profile to friends, store and deliver your photos, send notifications you've opted into, process your Pro subscription, and keep the app running. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Account data is stored in Supabase. Photos are stored in Cloudflare R2. Both providers process data on our behalf to run the app. Photos are automatically and permanently deleted 8 days after they are taken. Profile information and account data remain until you delete your account.
9am Pro is a $4.99/month subscription purchased through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment and billing are handled entirely by Apple — we never see or store your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment processing.
We use three services to operate 9am: Supabase for authentication and database, Cloudflare R2 for photo storage, and Apple for In-App Purchase and push notifications. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function. We do not use analytics services, ad networks, or any other third-party tracking.
9am may request camera access to take photos, photo library access to save images, and notification permission to alert you about friend activity. You can revoke any of these at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work without them.
9am is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
You can update your profile information in the app at any time, disable push notifications in your device settings, or delete your account by contacting us — we will remove your data.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of 9am after changes means you accept the updated policy.
